Caring for Temporaries
Patients usually wear the temporary veneers for only 2 to 3 weeks but caring for them is vital. The main thing to remember is that your temporary veneers are just that…temporary. They were not made to last a long time or to undergo a lot of pressure. Brush lightly with a soft bristle toothbrush and rinse with saltwater to help clean our hard to reach areas. Do not eat hard foods. Temporary veneers can crack or dislodge. Your temporary veneers are also more susceptible to staining than your natural teeth, avoid dark foods like berries, coffee, wine or soda. Avoid flossing because you may pull them off.
