Chicago Dental Implants

Replacing missing teeth with a stable, natural-looking solution

Losing a tooth changes the way you eat, speak, and smile. Chicago dental implants replace missing teeth with restorations that look and function like natural teeth. A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone that acts as an artificial tooth root; once it has integrated with the bone, it supports a crown, bridge, or denture. At Private Dental Services, Dr. Anthony King plans implant treatment carefully using detailed 3D imaging so everything fits and feels right.

Common Questions

How long do dental implants last?

With good oral hygiene and regular dental visits, dental implants are designed to be a long-term solution for missing teeth. We monitor your implants and restorations at your routine appointments.

What if I have lost bone where a tooth is missing?

Bone levels are evaluated during planning. If additional support is needed, we will discuss the options as part of your treatment plan.

Am I a candidate for implants?

Most patients missing one or more teeth are candidates, but suitability depends on your bone levels and overall oral health. The CBCT scan we take during your evaluation helps us determine the right approach for you.

Are implants better than a bridge?

Both restore missing teeth. Implants replace the tooth root and do not rely on the neighboring teeth, while a bridge is supported by adjacent teeth. If a damaged tooth needs attention first, we also offer restorative care to address it. We will review which option best fits your situation.

Implant options we provide

Every case is different, so treatment is planned around your specific needs after a thorough evaluation.

Single-tooth implants

A single implant replaces one missing tooth without affecting the neighboring teeth. The implant post is placed in the jaw and restored with a custom crown that matches your natural teeth.

Implant-supported restorations for multiple teeth

When several teeth are missing, implants can support a bridge or other restoration, restoring chewing function and the appearance of a complete smile.

Full-arch implant restoration

For patients missing most or all of their teeth, implants can support a full-arch restoration. This is part of our full mouth reconstruction approach, which rebuilds the smile step by step for lasting function and appearance.

How implant treatment works

Implant treatment is a multi-step process planned carefully from start to finish.

Evaluation and planning

We begin with digital scans and CBCT 3D imaging to evaluate your teeth, bite, and bone levels. This lets us plan the position of each implant precisely before treatment begins.

Implant placement

The implant post is placed in the jawbone. Over the following weeks, the bone integrates with the implant to create a stable foundation.

Restoration

Once the implant has integrated, it is restored with a crown, bridge, or denture designed to match your smile and restore full function.

PATIENT STORIES

Don’t just take our word for it

"

“Dr. King has been my dentist since 2021. He’s friendly with his staff and patients. I don’t get the assembly line feeling I used to get at some large practices. I have also not felt pressured for any unnecessary dental work. The hygienists are kind, professional, and capable. I have sensitive teeth, and all of them agreed to use hand tools during my cleaning at my request.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Private Dental Services. Everyone has been fantastic. I’ve been coming here for 10+ years, and my entire family is now at this office. It feels like a family because they really know how to take care of you and make sure all of your needs are met. They really know what they’re doing and also care a lot about the quality of their care.”

“I was afraid of the dentist, especially of needles. From our first appointment until today, I’m completely confident and relaxed with Dr. King's dentistry work (He is the best, in my opinion). I call him MacGyver… he can fix most everything dental. He will fix if possible, before replacing (that’s cost-effective!) He and his daughter work in unison to accomplish your dental needs.”
